This week, we tested new automatic harvesting equipment at our pilot facility in Kungshamn.
Processing of our algae to extract the shells includes several separation steps. The scaling up project involves the evaluation of various separation technologies.
We are evaluating different sources of nutrition rich water for future algae cultivation plants. This test stand is from a shrimp farm in Lysekil on the west coast of Sweden. The algae is grown using a nutritious water stream from a shrimp farm and in this case artificial light due to the indoor location.
We are all exited to start the work towards a large scale algae cultivation farm and extraction process. External resources have been contracted and we are ready to begin our journey.
PLANNING (2018)

Continuous high-volume production of a high-quality material. Verification of uptake of nutrients and the potential use of the biomass from the algae. Wrap-up of the EU LIFE project including after LIFE plan.
